Charities & Our Impact Award

At Jackson 100 For Good, our mission is to support nonprofits that are making a real difference in Jackson County, Ohio. Each quarter, our members come together to select one local organization to receive our Impact Award—a collective donation made directly by our members.

How the Impact Award Is Selected

At each quarterly meeting, members who are present hear about three local nonprofits that have been nominated by members and prequalified in advance.

Here’s how the process works:

  • Eligible charities are nominated by members in good standing
  • All nominated charities must be prequalified before they can be considered
  • Three charities are selected at random for presentations.
  • The nominating members each have five minutes to present their charity, followed by time for questions
  • Members who attend the meeting vote
  • One charity is selected to receive that quarter’s Impact Award
  • Members then write their $100 checks directly to the selected charity, allowing the organization to receive a meaningful, immediate gift with no administrative overhead.

Pre-Qualification Requirements

To ensure fairness, transparency, and local impact, all charities must meet the following requirements to be eligible for consideration:

  • The organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
  • The organization must be based in Jackson County, Ohio, or have offices in Jackson County or its bordering counties
  • Donations must directly benefit the Jackson County community
  • National organizations are not eligible unless there is a local affiliate, and funds will only be used locally
  • The organization must have been in existence for at least one year

Organizations can only receive the Impact Award once every 4 quarters.

Submitting a Charity for Consideration

Only members in good standing may nominate a charity for consideration. New members must complete the membership commitment form, attend at least one meeting, and participate in that meeting’s donation prior to being able to nominate or vote for a charity.

All charities must be prequalified before they can be nominated. Prequalification is completed by submitting the required information through our online form. Once approved, the organization will be added to our list of eligible charities for future meetings.

A Meaningful Partnership

Jackson 100 For Good is not a traditional grant-making organization. We collect funds through $100 quarterly donations by our members and forward the collective amount to the chosen Impact Award recipient each quarter.  There is no application process beyond pre-qualification. Our Impact Award is designed to be a surprise gift—simple, unrestricted, and rooted in community support.

We are proud to partner with organizations that are working every day to strengthen Jackson County, and we are honored to help amplify their impact through collective giving.
